I fought Lyme from 2006-2014 successfully...at least I was functioning fairly well. I was bit again in N.C. in 2012 on my back.
I treated that particular bite for 2 years on and off but I also developed weird rashes near the spot where I was bit.

Now it is 2018 and I still randomly break out in these rashes which I will describe....they look exactly like a cat has scratched up my back. They are red ..never bleed...then scab over and leave white marks.
They burn when first appearing and then are just sore.

I actually had it biopsied earlier this year because the skin under the rash was ulcerated. They didn’t get enough of a sample to figure out what it could be.

I get them very very randomly but always know they are popping up because of the burning pain.

They do not look like stretch marks or circular. They look like a cat went to town on my back. Sometimes they go vertical and sometimes horizontal.

Is there any possibility this could be Bartonella.? I was extensively treated for BART with this bite. My doctor said he didn’t think any more antibiotic treatment would be of help.

But now 6 years later I am still getting these rashes. I would love anyone’s idea on this as I now live in N.C. (formerly NH) and am not sure what to do.

I still experience constant nerve pain which I have had since the beginning...and random other symptoms...fatigue...insomnia...wired feeling.

Thanks

Hey,

Get tested for Bartonella. I also recommend going to a Lyme Disease specialist. If you post in the "Seeking A Doctor" forum, people can recommend Lyme specialists in your area.

Good luck xoxo
