My IC is definitely caused by Bartonella. Since starting treatment for it, my IC has gotten much better.

I even ate some peanut butter recently and didn't have that horrible pain that comes along with eating it.

TuTu, did you have this happen with bart treatment? I'm also using my rife machine on the pain setting.

Also, could IC be a symptom of Babs? My LLNP said it's bart, but I'm having so much relief with the Mepron also. I can take a deep breathe for the first time in years.

My IC was also caused by Bartonella. Bartonella is known to attack the bladder. I go to a urologist and I take Elmiron and I've also changed my diet, so now my bladder is significantly better. I stopped having extreme bladder pain episodes once I began taking Elmiron.

My IC pain was almost the deal breaker.
I sat in the waiting room crying until they called my name for weekly catherdeter treatments. I ended up having surgery on bladder. It didn't work, temporary fix.

But my Neuro doc prescriped me gabapentin for herniated disks and it totally relaxed my bladder and took away all that horrible bladder pain. So when I saw my urologist I told him about the miraculous off-label effects of gabapentin for IC pain.

My LLMD put me on Rifamin and I have been symptom free, fingers crossed.

I used to have IC from Bartonella too, it was horrible. I am glad you figured out what the cause was and you have gotten relief.

I wish I could take Elmiron and Neurontin and I can't take either. I really believe at this point, with the bart treatment, those two things would totally clear up even the little bit of pain that I am experiencing.

For the first time EVER, in 18 years, I feel hope. I didn't have a second baby because of IC. Even though I would have loved another child, I'm glad I didn't end up with another sick child.

I believe my DD was infected in utero and then became symptomatic with a tick bite at 4. It's a given that at some point you are going to get a tick bite where I live.
