Hello
has anyone had experience with Dapsone regimen?I have been with Dr. H for many years and not very sick anymore but still need some antibiotics once in a while.
Dr. H is very strongly recommending trying Dapsone which I have never done it but I am worried that it is very aggressive and expensive and it seems that you can still relapse afterwards? I would be happy to continue more conventional antibiotic regimens but they seems to be switching everyone to the Dapsone now. Any opinion? Thank you!!!

Maybe Antabuse would be the better alternative, it seems to be a safer drug.

I was on the dapsone protocol for about 8 months. It was pretty helpful to me - I've now been able to stop treating Lyme with anything pharmaceutical at all while I tackle mold problems.

I didn't have any problems, but I was taking all the protective things (can't remember the names now...), all the various iron and folate supplements.

I had my methemeoglobin levels checked every three weeks just in case.

I did have a lot of anxiety about the side effects though, which certainly didn't really help me feel better.
