Any thoughts out there about the effects of alcohol on lyme symptoms and/or herxing?

Unfortunately, I'm more interested in actual experiences, not opinions.
I'm not a regular drinker by any means, but 6 weeks ago I had a large 'imported' beer and symptoms got worse.
They improved and then over this past weekend I had 2 glasses of wine...symptoms worse again.
Seems too coincidental to me. I just never put 2 and 2 together before and my LLMD didn't mention anything either.

Did you read through the link? I thought there WERE actual experiences. It might be that you have a problem with yeast...the alcohol would make it worse. The "herx" would feel the same as an abx herx.
You can find more info by clicking on the little word "search" up above at the top of this page.

There are actual experiences on that link.
Its not a good idea. Alcohol suppressese the immune system.
I drank off and on for about a year ( during treatment). All I can say is Im an idiot. Sure, I may have felt good while I was drinking, but the after effects are horrendous. And it just slowed down my tx.
