I got the picc line placed last wednesday and have been doing recophin therapy. My arm is still slighty achy on and off even after 5 days. I'm not so worried about that as I am the 'small twinges of pain' of that I get at random places in my chest. They are just small twinges so it could be anxiety but it worries me - I don't remember getting these before the picc line and I don't think it's the Lyme - my lyme is all CNS lyme and I've never had these symptoms. Should I be worried? I can't find any info on-line that matches what is going on with me.

It's been over a year since my picc line and I vaguely remember having the same feeling of twinges of chest pain . Once I decided it was all in my head they went away. I would call wherever you had the line put in and ask though ---just to be on the safe side.

I got mine placed on 11/29, around the same time as yours.
My arm is still sore, though it's getting better, and I was told this is normal and should go away in 2-3 weeks.
I have been having some chest pain, similar to that of Costochondritis since the PICC placement, although I don't know if mine is like "twinges" that you described.
I think the muscles near where PICC line was inserted might have experienced some "trauma" and therefore sore now.
Also, I was very cautious at first about any body movement, so that might have tighten/stiffen up my muscles too.
I have been using microwavable heating pads on sore spots, and they seem to help.
Good luck.

With a Picc ending just a few centimeters from your right atrium(top right filling chamber of your heart) I would not neccessarily blow off any chest pain. Ask your doctor about a chest xray to determine placement (the have a radio-opaque tip)to determine where the tip is at 'cause if it has migrated your chances of a pulmonary embolus go up(blood clot in the lung)or one in one the great veins in your chest.
If the Cxray looks good(and you doctor may also do a simple blood test) then you can relax a little about these twinges.
Take care and good luck.
