Quick question--I'm sending my husband out to pick up some probiotics for me today and I've had some wonderful suggestions sent to me. My only question is that if you are taking antibiotics multiple times daily, don't you have to take probiotics multiple times daily as well? Or will the single dose daily probiotics be okay?
I'd love to just take them once a day but I want to make sure I'm doing this right. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

I think you have to find what works for you. For me how much i need would depend on the particular brand/type of probotics i am taking.
I do take acidolphilous at least 2 times a day. But i have also been treating for awhile so it would seem likely that my needs MIGHT be higher than someone who hasnt been on abx as long.
Maybe you could ask how many times a day people take a certain acidolphilous ... because the potency and quality and strains vary inbetween brands...sometimes alot.
One of my acidolphilous says how many to take a day if on abx. Maybe the package itself will give an indication.

My experience was yes. When I only took probiotics once or twice a day, I didn't receive any benefit. My LLMD told me that one can not overdose on probiotics.
But I know that everyone's system is different.
I began taking 2 pills (as opposed to 1, twice a day) after or with every meal. This practice solved my problems.
I took Culturelle, which was recommended to me by my MD.
