I doubt it. It doesn't seem to have anything in the prep that would kill stuff...??

I hope you do OK with yours!

Sounds doubtful but after my colonoscopy all my lyme gastro problems disappeared for about a year. They have however come back very slowly and not to the point they were previously.

What are the tests for parasites, and/or symptoms?

Do you have to be losing weight and starving all the time?

thanks for answers.

my colonoscopy results were all neg but that doesn't change or explain how bad all the symptoms are. i don't feel better about it-well i guess its good i don't have cancer-but i need to know what is going on .. too many severe symptoms.

wish i felt better after.

i thought maybe the salt would kill something???

i don't think the "regular" doc tests are any good. i've had a few and all neg. i think they may say you have to be losing weight to have parasites...but i'don't think they are right.

i think the alt docs probably have better tests but i don't know what they are-you might do a search on here...or maybe someone will come along who knows

my history is such i'm pretty sure i have them..so am going to try huma worm. alot of people here seem to like it. there's a lot of info on that site-

i've been really pushing probiotics...but don't see long term help with them.

gluten doesn't seem to be a problem per colonoscopy and trial diet

i see a new primary tomorrow-not looking forward to it. i feel like my old one was very happy to see me leave.

but see new llmd in a few weeks and i am looking forward to that. 2nd appt with him. he's consulting with old llmd who is great but really far away.

Parasites? You're sure you have them based on your history? Why is that? What symptoms make you suspect parasites?

well i've been on prevacid 7 yrs and now i know that when you stop stomach acid you open the door to parasites and other stuff.

for 30 yrs i've taken ibuprofen...1st 3200 a day then 2400 a day...now less than 600 a day but with 600 tylanol

this is all bad for your gut and opens it up to problems

10 yrs ago i did go to some alt parasite doc in ny-he tested stool samples and gave me a list of what i had...i half believed him at that point. now i know more and think he was correct.

he gave me a bunch of oral ligued meds to take. i couldn't do it.

one of them was aricept-thats what they now prescribe for alzheimers---interesting

also i've worked with dogs and horses all my life

and there was a time i ate all raw-well almost all raw diet

and i'm having a lot of gi pain, diahreah, constipation, nodules, gagging, some bleeding...lots of gi symptoms with no answers from the regular docs...

and tracy...yes-that's what it does...but aren't they in the crap?

i've also read both of ann gittleman's books and i just think it makes sense

I would cut out gluten even if you do not think that is the problem.

You can be gluten intolerant and have it not show up in tests.

Even if you eat some gluten and then stop for weeks if you are gluten intolerant it can stay in your gut and fester. It would not hurt to give gluten a break for six months and see if it makes a difference. Gluten foods can also feed candida.

Stopping gluten for a couple of weeks may not do much.

If you can some how stop daily Tylenol that might be good too. I know someone whose wife died of liver failure from using too much Tylenol.

Could you possibly have bart? Bart can cause GI problems.

i didn't test pos for bart but i'm pretty sure i have it

i was supposed to start rifampin after i finis h my flagyl and biaxin...but it's so hard to take that with the gi stuff...it may take me a year to finish

i hear you about the gluten

i'm taking tylanol to get off ibuprofen-i took 3200 a day for 10 yrs and 2400 a day for another 10 years, since my knee replacement i am trying to cut back on pain meds-but now instead of my knees being my worst pain-my thumbs, back and bunion are.

thanks for info.

i need to sleep and come up with a plan. i do see llmd in 2 weeks.

What salt are you referring to? Salt is a natural bacteriocide and antiparasitic. Check out the symptom list at Humaworm for parasites.

Also check out www.lymephotos.com I believe that parasites and worms are a MAJOR part of Lyme disease.
