I know a lot of lymies have ear pain, buzzing, and hearing loss. Does anyone know why?
My husband and I have both been recently been diagnosed with lyme and are both having hearing problems.
It seems like someone is covering our ears, or like there is pressure that won't equalize, or even we are under water trying to hear.
Is there anything that will help with this?
Thanks, Shalome

Yes, lyme can take a huge toll on many ear functions. And, some antibiotics can, too. Still, the infection must be addressed.
If you are taking minocycline, azithromycin (zithromax), Biaxin or Amoxicillin, you might ask your doctor to consider a change. More about that at the link below.
I hope something here helps.
I find that allicin capsules help clear the ears the best. However, I am one of two who also seems to get increased tinnitus with allicin. Most do not.
I prefer the brand sold at www.hepapro.com It surpasses all others by miles.
You can also find some eardrops that contain a tiny amount of garlic oil mixed with olive oil. Herb Pharm's Garlic-Mullien drops are very good. One drop is all it takes.
There is a link to ear drops at the Tinnitus thread below.
