Kerryblue I had it a couple years ago. It only lasted a couple of days and it came about when I was having a ton of numbness in face, hands and feet.

Kerryblue - Lots of people with neurological issues drool (in my case, downright slobbered) on themselves. It can be anything; weakness in the facial or other muscles due to Bell's Palsy is one of the main causes. The list is long. Do you have Bell's?

Kerry,
Seek is right in that I have mentioned it a lot in reference to parasites. Mine went away when I treated for parasites. Neurological issues can cause this and so can Bells Palsy.
I have had both. You have to look at what's causing these symptoms. For me it appeared to be parasites. Check out the symptom list on

I had this, too. Really embarrassing!
Always coincided with episodes of numbness/tingling in hands/feet and face - mostly on one side, and even my chin would go numb.
Seemed to be a mild form of Bell's.
I didn't know about the parasite connection, thought it was only neurological. So it's interesting to hear about the parasite connection.
Mine has gone away with lots of time in treatment, thank goodness.

Drooling can be related to one side weakness as in Bell's Palsy,
Or just general weakness in the oral motor muscle area.
Try taking a washcloth. Putting some ice in it.
Wetting it a little.
Now take the wash cloth and gently stroke the lip on the
Side the drool is escaping a few times in a row.
Always stroke up.
Wait a few minutes and do this again.
Remember to try to keep your mouth closed when not speaking.
Try to swallow freqently.
Let me know if this helps.
I am a Speech Pathologist and have used this technique
Called brushing/icing with patients who have oral loss
Of saliva due to their stroke.
When done often during the day, it helps drammatically.

Hi, Thanks for all you responses. Never thought it was parasite caused. It has been going on quite awhile. I s most on side where back of head & ear went numb. I drink water all time so big on swallowing. I do as much as can until reminded by drooling.
I never had Bells Palsy. Recently had IV infusion first time really treated besides oral doxy, way after being sick for 4 weeks. That was NO-GO too little too late
Did have vit. C IV for testing, also Bowen & other guinea pig for test subject.
This drooling started while back, notice worse as day goes on for some reason. Drooling is usually with mouth closed.
Not my biggest problem compared to pain & nausea 24/7. Got worse after IV. Think stirred things up & not enough after least 20 yr. of Lyme/FM/CFIDS/ Late stage now ALS/Parkinson's symptoms. UGH....
Thanks I will take all suggested a try.
