I started minocycline and rifampin on Sun. Last night my back and chest was covered with hives. This is the 3rd time I have had an allergic reaction to something...DMSA (asthma attack),Cumanda (hives), and now this.
I never seem to hear of anyone else having any allergic reactions. Now I have to stop taking both, since I don't know what's causing it.
Has anyone else had an allergic reation to either of these, or anything else?

I never got hive in my life. But, since having lyme disease, now numerous meds give me hives. I have a list of them.
We are not just talking about lyme meds either. It can be any type of med.
There was a thread about 3 months ago on this topic. If you want to try looking it up, use the word "hives" in the search. That should locate it.
It seems that someone quoted some medical document that said our immune systems are working overtime with the lyme, so that is why we can easily get hives. But, better if you can actually find the thread.
