When you stop abx's (for eve a week or 2) does your immune system waken back up?

I'm on an abx break (treating yeast) and I've noticed my temps run a little bit higher and I'm sweating more (not drenching sweats, just normal sweats)

Is this a sign my immune system is coming to life and treating bacteria (that surely is starting to crawl back out lol)

cane, it's too difficult to say, esp. in the short amount of time you've been off abx and very possible your immune system was not completely shut down; mine wasn't, even during the years while on abx.

Your reports of sweating sort of bother me though. It doesn't have to be a drenching sweat for Babs to be rearing its' ugly head... Can't remember what you said about co-infects? Even if tests are negative, I hope your doc treats you anyway. If mine hadn't, I might not be in remission now. Just no way to know...

Well i just treated babs for 2 months with no significant improvement. In fact I rarely see babs symptoms.

Only things I tested positive to are Lyme and erlichia. I know that doesn't mean anything... but that's why I'm uncertain about other co-infections.

And my LLmd doesn't want to retest. says we'll go off of symptoms.

I'm a Bart-kinda guy : )

Ya my doc is treating co's. Everything we do is clinical.

But I'm basically callin the shots when I go into his office : )

My new protocol for bart (first time bart treater) is...

Ceftin
Doxy
Plauenil
Rifampin
Nystatin

I will take arteminisin 3 days a week.

I'm done with flagyl for now he says.
