what low dose abx helped you the most?
you know like 100 or 200 mg of doxy, or biaxin, or something?
i know some of us just cannot tolerate higher doses.
so it's possible to do low doses, at least according to my lyme doc. some people are just too ill to do the higher doses and cannot handle the herxes.

Biaxin has always helped me much more than anything I took

Minocin or Doxy (200mg daily or pulsed MWF) got rid of my arthritis and most other symptoms. Not a cure but certainly amazing for maintenance.

Good to see the consistency (NOT). Weird disease, huh? That's why the IDSA believes us so much.

My Azithromycin dose is 600mg BID, but I've been told I could take it in half, it just wouldn't be as effective.
I take 100mg of Minocycline BID.
I had improvement on this combo before I started any additional ABX.

funny, zithromax, at 600mg 2 x a day did nothing for me....
I think it would help to know which symptoms are most bothersome?
IF a co-infection causes your worst symtpoms, it can be good to start with that. And since co-infections usually require specific kinds of drugs, it will lead you in a certain direction.
So, for example, if and LLMD thinks Babesea is a big problem, low doses of zithromax and mepron might be in order. Or if they think Erlichia is an issue, doxycycline. Or Bartonella might be Cipro.
I hate to say it, but most here will tell you it is trial and error with you and the LLMD working together.
