I use some rice bran in things and haven't noticed a problem, but I don't use it daily - just occasionally.
I did read something on the Internet that rice bran contains something harmful in it - darned if I can remember what it is - so there is some controversy. They're saying oat bran is safer but if you're trying to eat gluten free, oat bran may not be an option. Some say it's OK of a GF diet and others say it isn't.
