Hi Ang13;

First of all let me welcome you the best site you will find regarding Lyme Disease.

I was diagnosed June 1, 2010. I received minimal treatment and am currently searching for someone to HELP me.

I live in Lake St. Louis and Lyme Disease is just not heard of here in St. Louis.

It sounds like what ever Doctor you saw at least is jumping on the abx. which is what is going to begin your road to recovery.

I am told over and over again that we need to find a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) which is easier said than done and VERY expensive.

Study, ask questions, people here truly care and many have gone through just about everything I have and will go through.

If they haven't, they will lead you in the right direction.

Good luck to you. Ask questions, there is a lot to learn. Doctors will roll all over you if you are not enlightened when you go in.

thank you, I hope that you find a doctor who can help you, I am not sure how far St.Louis is from Canada, but I really think I lucked out to find a dr so close to where I live. I am starting to feel today that the side effects from these meds are worse than the lyme...I can hardly breathe from the reflux and pain in my throat and stomach, pain in my feet, tingling hands and despite eating activa i feel like i may be developing a yeast infection...it's awful today
