So I developed a mood disorder caused by LD. I started on a mood stabilizer, worked my way up to the theraputic dose, and actually felt it was starting to work.

Then I woke up last Friday in severe pain. It progressed through the day and I sat in a chair all night Friday night in tears. Had no idea what this severe pain meant.

I dealt with it all weekend and Monday called LLMD. They worked me in. So now I find out I have had an adverse and of course my luck a rare reaction to the mood stabilizer. They did all kinds of blood work to check for muscle damage, kidney damage and who knows what else.

So now I am in major pain, not related to lyme; and at the same time withdrawing as quickly as possible from the psych med and waiting for the results of my test.

I am just very discouraged that there seems to always be another hurdle waiting around every turn. Does anyone else ever feel that it just never ends?

(((( sutherngrl ))))

oh gosh, and after all of that time that you spent weighing the pro's and con's of taking that med!

I hope that the bad pain is reversible and that you can find something else to help with the up's and down's.

and to answer your question, YES.

I am so sorry to hear this. I pray they can get the pain under control and the withdrawal will be tolerable. Not fair, but nothing about this horrid illness is.

YES, I too feel like that. It's like there are endless obstacles. It's hard to keep going. I was feeling pretty down today.
