I drink fluids+++ all day and pee very little.

Have to get up 3 or 4 times in the night to pee and wake up very thirsty.

Can anyone suggest why?

I had some weird thirst stuff going on for a while. An interesting thing to try would be to eliminate all non-vegetable carbobydrates from you diet. Just eat meat and vegetables and see what happens.

You are avoiding caffeine, right? Also avoiding all artificial ingredients, even a trace of any, right?

What you describe is VERY common for lyme, really. It may have to do with the dysfunction regarding anti-diuretic hormone. A good LLMD would know more.

Have you been checked for diabetes? Are you on adrenal support? Adrenal support should help. Eleuthero is the first one to consider. Ashwagandha would be the second one.

My low blood sugar could never tolerate just meat and vegetables but eliminating all simple carbs was a good move, indeed.

You might actually need some dark berries and tart apples for the antioxidant capacity. Your body is trying to get rid of toxins and the more color in your diet, the better. Liver support is also essential. Are you taking Milk Thistle? That should help.

Complex carbs grains helped me with good minerals and to avoid drops resulting in low blood sugar. Quinoa (keen-wa) is a good start as a non-gluten whole grain with a good amino acid / protein complexity. Just google that term.

Your adrenal gland is probably out of phase from normal. Aldosterone causes sodium and fluid retention and should be higher at night and lower in day so you should pee during the day.
Try adding some salt to your last meal of the day. (I sometimes have 12 salty olives and that helps quite a bit. Also licorice root whether powder, extract,or tea have helped me with this too again taken in early evening. I think Babesia is cause but cannot prove it. Melatonin at bedtime may help resynchronise your internal time clock.

Beachnit has many good points. I might add that your salt intake should be from a good SEA salt, not table salt.

And, yes licorice root is excellent for the adrenals, even in a low to moderate dose. It need not be high, should not be high. You might start with the tea or one capsule a day until you see how it works for you.

Also be sure your magnesium is in place as you may be experiencing bladder spasms. Magnesium will help settle down spasms.
