I too have been put on B12 shots. I'm not exactly sure why it is supposed to help.
My LLMD told me it will help witht the fatigue and help to give me more energy.
Do you give yourself the shots?
I do...and I am still trying to get used to it!

I had been on B12 shots which I gave to myself for 6 months.
I quit about a month ago because it didn't help with energy. But LLMD said it's also for neuro lyme.
I've noticed that since I quit, my fingertips and toes have less feeling in them and just inside of lips feels odd again.

My doc told me that the spirochetes don't produce their own B12, so they rob it from you.

- Borrelia can destroy the myelin sheath around nerve tissue. Vitamin B12 helps to strengthen the myelin sheath that protects nerve fibers.
As mentioned above, lyme also causes B12 deficiency and that adds to the destruction of the insulation around the nerves.
B12, especially the shots, help tremendously with energy, partially due to nourishment of the red blood cells.
. . . Although vitamin B12 deficiency is known to damage the myelin sheath covering cranial, spinal, and peripheral nerves, the biochemical processes leading to neurological damage in B12 deficiency are not well understood (3). . . .
. . . stomach inflammation underlying some cases of B12 deficiency . . . . -
