I was just looking at different Lyme disease websites and found this. I remember hearing on here or somewhere else that a rash only appears in 50% of cases? Reading things like this make me sometimes question my diagnoses.

Yes but for those just looking==they may hit the American Way first....
Then they will continue to be lost.
I wish someone would make them change this---as it is a downright lie. Among others.

I had no rash ever, but did test positive on western blot through Quest (which I've been told is pretty rare due to their poor testing protocols).

I had no rash that I know of... was also bitten when I was a child... way before Lyme was discovered. So if there was a rash, no one would have thought that much about it.

In case you have not learned...the American Lyme Disease Foundation is unreliable. Go to ILADS.org

American Lyme Disease Foundation---maybe these folks need to attend an ilads conference or 2 or 18.

No way they would do that. They are an arm of the IDSA... or maybe it's a leg!!

I'm not sure they should even put a percentage
on how many May get the rash. In my
experience I knew something was wrong with me
because of all the symptoms I had but I
accidently found the rash.
I was dragging myself around the house, the
fatigue was like nothing I ever had and I went
to take a shower and when the spray hit my back
it stung and I thought " now what", I had
terrible pain from my neck to my lower back and
everywhere in between, fever and as I said
fatigue and so when the water hit my back I got
out of the shower to look at my back and that's
when I saw the bulls eye rash. If I would have
taken a bath instead I would have never known
the rash was there. So how many times does that
happen? Percentages mean nothing.

My bet is many still haven't had their lips surgically removed from Bumsteere's butt yet... which could explain the reason their thoughts are so scrambled.
