Kim, I had this for a month or two during treatment and I really can't be sure what caused it because I did have Bart so it could have very well been a herx, but my gut tells me it was adrenal related.
I kept describing like that fight or flight feeling except 'constantly'. I felt jittery and shivery, like the chills, and it would crawl up my shoulders and back, very uncomfortable, it sucked.
Adrenals being overtaxed can cause this too. I mentioned it to my LLMD, he did blood work, and sent me to an Endo because my cortisol levels were really high and something else was out range but I don't recall now what it was. It turned out my hpa axis was out of whack (I missed a period at that time which has never happened to me in 41 yrs lol) and I had that feeling you describe. It did correct itself somehow and the Endo didn't really have any answers (big surprise!) but I'd do a search on Adrenal Fatique and HPA Axis. You may want to ask your LLMD to run some blood work on your Thyroid, that will show if your HPA is ok or not.
Detox really helped for me too, I swear it's like the organs that flush the bad stuff out (liver, colon, kidneys, adrenals etc...) get overwhelmed as we treat and conquer, and somehow clog up and need a little help. My personal theory here.
I just wanted you to know that it did happen to someone else too you are not alone, hang in there! Murphy
