I did a google search of: honeysuckle Lyme
It appears that they have found that areas of honeysuckle growth cause destruction of local plant and animal diversity, and these areas attract whitetail deer foraging.
According to the researcher, where the deer forage in honeysuckle, there are more disease-carrying ticks that can be found questing in the overgrowth.

Hi, Kitty9309, Yes most likely excuse. But deer is far from our only problem now that carry Lyme & Honeysuckle used to love honeysuckle. Sure this will be far from only plants, trees etc. 800 ticks on 1 ear.Yeash (they found) lots of bugs, birds etc. that pass along with deer, then infected & pass on, & on ,&ON....Out of control as said fastest growing epidemic in world still hidden. Arghhhhhh, OR treatment for most of us who unable to get or afford. My treatment was 10,000 for 1 month on pic line. Only once allowed no follow up Dr. too scared I am sure.
