I was started on IV Invanz on Monday and Tindamax 500mg twice a day. Wed I increased the Tindamax to 750mg a day. I got a PICC line Wed.

Thurs I felt the worst I have EVER felt in my life. I had SEVERE nausea like I cant even explain. Severe diarrhea, could not eat or drink. Ended up in ER for dehydration.

I felt dizzy and horrific and felt like I wished I were dead instead of trapped in this body that felt so badly.

After being in the ER I spoke to my doc and he took me off everything for the wknd. I am now on nothing. I am scared to go back on these meds (terrified actually).

I feel depressed and worn down and just really discouraged. I'd rather have Lyme (which is pretty debilitating) than spend another hour feeling how I did on Thursday.

Please, I need advice. Can I treat this naturpathically? I have already tried IV rocephin, doxy, amoxi, ceftin and now the tind/invanz combo.

Thank you for reading and respnding.
Renny

I went to Germany for Bionic 880 treatment after 20 months of abx. It can be done naturally.

Tindamax was HORRIBLE for me. You could also try the IV without the tini.

I know your doc put you on both meds, but in my opinion starting both at the same time was a big mistake. Both of these meds have bad side effect profiles.

If restarted I would wait a minimum of 1 week before adding in the 2nd med.

This is not medical advice, just my opinion based on hubby's experience.

He ended up in the hospital for a week after starting tindamax in July. But now he is taking 250 mg 3 times per day. I think he was only taking it once per day and only 3 days a week at that when he crashed.

The initial dose on the tindamax seems way too high to me.

renny, so sorry you're suffering. It's a terrible feeling to have anxiety about treating this disease(s) because you don't know what the next drug will do. I had a really bad time with Levaquin and was also terrified to add Artemisinin to the mix.

Did you not have a few days on Invanz before you took the Tindamax? I ask because I'm very familiar with the protocol you're on. Maybe the Tindamax was a little high for you. Have you taken penicillin derivatives before? Maybe it was the Invanz.
It's amazing how differently we all respond to these meds. I know Six was fine with Levaquin, but not with Tindamax, and I'm the complete opposite.

Again, I'm sorry this is happening to you and I hope you find a way to get this worked out. I wish you the best.

Right! I also could not take Zithromax! Go figure!

We're all different. I believe you have to listen to your body and go with your gut instincts on things when treating.
