My son will be 18 years old in May. He was bit by a deer tick in 2005 and was treated with 2 weeks of antibiotics. The following year he became chronically ill with a variety of symptoms including: headache, vomiting, insomnia, dizziness and fainting, and his latest symptom, occasionally waking up paralyzed from the waist down which last for several hours. I can't get any of his doctors to do any testing for lyme other than the normal antibody test, which comes up negative. I am looking for a physician who will be willing to do more extensive testing and will look at the totality of his condition and not just the symptom is is suffereing from at the time.

Hi, [hi] nmbmom and WELCOME to our lyme site. We're glad you came to us for help.

I have sent you a private message (pm) also.

Also, check out our great "Medical Questions" forum where you can ask all the questions you might have and our wonderful, knowledgeable members will answer them. Just read some of the threads and you'll see just how informative they are!

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
