Need a dr. who at least is lyme literate near Wilmington NC. My friend is in great need of someone who can help her before she loses everything because she can't work because of the pain.

Dear kimoo!, Thanks for helping your friend in pain from Lyme disease! I hope your health is good.
I am not aware of any LLMDs in NC, but if you post a new topic in our "Seeking a Doc" forum, you will get a better response.
You may wish to include another state where she may travel so members can offer suggestions.
Many of our best LLMDs do not take insurance.
She may wish to consider ideas from the thread Topic: So, what DO you do when you run out of money for treatment? It is in our "General" forum, about a third down the page, last i saw.
If you create a new post in "Medical" you could list some of her dominant symptoms and request proven, frugal tips for pain management. I've often trusted in my old, low-tech hot water bottle!
