He no longer practices.

Suggest you call lyme support groups in your state or nearby states (see Support Groups on left side of page) and ask for names of docs who follow Burrascano.

Then, call the doc's office and ask if he follows Burrascano. If they say he does, then go to him and ask him directly if he follows Burrascano at your first appt.

If he says he does, then compare his treatment to the Burrascano guidelines and see if he really does.

Many docs SAY they follow Burrascano, but they really don't. I guess they say they do because it gets them patients. If there is some other reason why they say this, I don't know what it is. All I know is you have to compare their treatment to Dr. B's and you will find out then that some really don't follow Dr. B. even though they tell you that they do.

That's why I like calling the support groups and asking the people there.

I too wanted Dr who followed Dr Burrascano's guidelines. I finally found a wonderful PA who is VERY close. I tweak my protocal to follow dr B. The office is located in Colorado. I am on IV. I know for orals they like ceftin, amox, zith, flagyl or tindamax. Maybe more, that is just what we discussed. PM me if you want the name and #
