Has anyone been to the John Hopkin's infectious disease clinic for lyme? What is your opinion of the docs there? Send a PM if desired.

Forget that place. See what they have on their website regarding lyme and you will know why.

A Hopkins doctor from that clinic wrote a piece in a local paper a few years back that basically said they don't want to see lyme patients because the disease is too controversial. They don't need that, is what he said.

Hopkins is local to me, and it is one of the places I went trying to get a diagnosis. The doc I saw thought that perhaps I had a brain tumor. He was no help at all !!!

So, I came home and made an appt with an endocrinologist that I heard was good, and told him my same symptoms and he said it sounded like lyme disease. He tested me and I was positive.

So much for Hopkins figuring it out.

If you go by this post you'll see Hopkins is line most Hosipitals.

http://lymemd.blogspot.com/2010/02/fallon-and-fatigue.html

"Yesterday I had the opportunity to discus these issues with a Hopkins professor of infectious disease. He claimed that ALL the good science proves that chronic Lyme does not exist. He was steadfast in his opinion. When queried, he admitted he knows nothing about the Columbia/Fallon study. He asked if it was"good" science. He was oblivious to the fact that the Fallon study was third NIH-sponsored study cited by his colleagues to support the absolute belief that chronic Lyme does not exist. Apparently only the Klempner and Krupp studies are worthy of consideration. But what about that pesky Krupp study?"

Hi Agardener:

I remember my sister wanted me to take my daugher to the Clevland Clinic. As hard as I tried I couldn't convey the controversy on diagnosing and treating tick borne diseases.

It's amazing there is a controversy to this insidious disease and I've found it easiest to show a couple of u tube video's on the controversy.

If you watch this video you can see some of the miss diagnosis.

Actually there are two Dr. A's at Johns Hopkins.
Here is the good one.
https://www.hopkinslyme.org/our-team/

The other Dr. A. at Johns Hopkins is a member of IDSA (the Infectious Diseases Society of America ) . believes the opposite of the other Dr. A.
