Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for FL. When you call for an appointment, ask if they have cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this. Check the online state Lyme groups at:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/floridalyme Maybe they can help you. Another resource for you:www.lyme-aware.org/florida.html Dr. H, the top Lyme doctor, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information. Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon. View "Under Our Skin" for free on www.hulu.com

littl-bit, I live in Sarasota, too. I was diagnosed about a year ago in Penna but moved to Sarasota since then. We have a monthly support group for lyme that meets here as well as a facebook page for lyme patients that speaks openly about doctors and treatment. I will send you a message about docs here and protocol.
