Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has been to Dr. O in GA. If so, could you PM me and let me know your experience?

I am dealing with Lyme, babs, bart, ehrlichia, CMV, EBV, other viruses, mast cell activation disorder, POTS, histamine issues, adrenal insufficiency, hypothyroidism, and more.

Thanks!!

I don't know of any Lyme doctors in GA who come highly recommended. Hopefully others can give you detailed information.

I don't think he is an LLMD, but he has trained with Dr. K in WA, is trained by Dr. Kharrazian in thyroid/adrenal disorders, and has other training that looks interesting.

I recommend seeing the best doctor possible as soon as possible. There are very few really knowledgeable Lyme doctors.

You can find a wealth of information at Dr. Burrascano's treatment guidelines: http://www.ilads.org/lyme/B_guidelines_12_17_08.pdf

I have been seeing Dr. K in WA for 2 1/2 years. He is considered one of the best. What I got from those 2 1/2 years was a lot of work on my part, improvement in a few minor symptoms, and an IRA that is now completely drained. So I would say the "best" is not always the best.

Anyway, my question was regarding Dr. O in GA.

I've not heard of any LLMD's in GA. If this one works out for you, let us know.

I would not consider Dr. K. the best at all. I am sorry for your experience.

I hope others have the info you are looking for. Did you try support groups?

Hi Sammi,

Out of curiosity, why would you not consider Dr. K one of the best, assuming we are talking about the same Dr. K?

Thank you!!

Hi perfectly_healthy.

I have not seen this doctor myself. I have nothing personal against him, I am just going by what other patients have said and some of the lectures I have heard. Based on this information, he would not be the doctor for me.

As with all doctors, I am sure some patients are happy with him and some are not. It can be challenging (and expensive!) to find the best doctor for each case.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/georgialyme

Maybe they can help.
