I live in Pittsburgh and have had trouble with the doctor that I have been seeing. He has me on 3 weeks of antibiotics and refuses to discuss things-he has sent me some nasty emails about how chronic lyme doesn't exist when I suggested seeing a specialist, he said those don't exist.
I feel like I can't discuss anything with him and he sees lyme as something extremely treatable and basically no big deal, and as I am learning through research, that isn't true at all.
My aunt has had lyme for 20 years and has been super helpful but she saw a doctor in NY.
My husband and I don't have a lot to spare financially so travel would be really hard too.
I would love a doctor who would discuss things and not blow me off. It was hard enough getting doctors to test for Lyme let alone treat it!
I just have no clue what should happen and I don't think my current doctor knows anything about lyme!
Thank you!!
