I noticed a bite or redness area 3-4 weeks ago. When it didn't go away and got worse with the bulls eye I went to urgent care and tested positive for Lyme 2 weeks ago. I started antibiotics last week. I would like to find a more comprehensive doctor in my area. Thank you for any help

Welcome to Lymenet. PM sent for upstate NY.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

I do not understand your response. I would like to find a physician in my area who may be more experienced with Lyme disease but I am not not having much luck locating one. I do not have I primary doctor and have never been to one. I see there is one doctor who says she specializes in Lyme but she is also a pediatrician though. I tried to call her today but her offices close early on Fridays. Should the bruise where the bite occurred have faded after 1 week of treatment. Mine has faded slightly and is still sensitive to the touch.

I'm sorry I did not check my pm. I don't believe that I have any major symptoms rather then being over tired for no reason and or very little energy to do anything :/

I don't know what you mean by "not understanding" my response to you. You have a bull's-eye rash which is definitive for Lyme and you also tested positive for Lyme disease.
As I recommended, you need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately, due to the politics surrounding this insidious disease. You need to go where they are.
Just because a doctor says "she specializes in Lyme", doesn't make her a LLMD. LLMDs have years of experience in treating Lyme disease as well as getting their patients get well.
The best ways to find a competent LLMD is by personal references or contacting Support Groups in your state. Here are the websites again to do this:
Time is of the essence and you need to be under the care of a Lyme disease specialist a.s.a.p.!
