Hi! I am looking for an LLMD in NJ/NY. I also got a western blot test done and it came back negative... however when I asked to see the specific results (bands)... I got something different.
Here's from the lab: "In this case only 23 KDa bands were shown for Lyme IgG and none for IgM."
I am being told from a very knowledgeable friend that 23 is highly specific for Lyme. Also that many LLMDs would diagnose in that band alone.
Anyone think any differently or have something to add on? Please help!
PS- I am 20 years old and have been sick since age 14. Diagnosed with fibro, POTS, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other health issues like migraines and GI symptoms. Thank you soooo much!

Agree that band 23 shows Lyme disease. That plus your symptoms = need for a Lyme-treating doctor.

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
