I'm a 25 year old currently based out of Los Angeles. I was diagnosed with lyme in May and have been struggling with reoccurring symptoms ever since. I've seen multiple "specialists" and GPs who tell me there is nothing note worthy in the blood tests so there is nothing they can do. So frustrating and exhausting.
I'm based out of Los Angeles, but I have family in St. Louis, MO and Chicago, IL, so I would be willing to travel to any of those places if it meant seeing a doctor who isn't going to just blow me off.
Thank you and so relieved to find this forum!!

Lyme disease is a clinical diagnosis. You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately! You need to go where they are.
Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
The Lyme Disease Network is a non-profit organization funded by individual donations. If you would like to support the Network and the LymeNet system of Web services, please send your donations to:
