My 10-year-old daughter has had a bulls-eye rash since Saturday, but she didn't show it to us until yesterday.
We went to a local urgent care facility yesterday and they only gave us a prescription for a steroid cream and dismissed the possibility of Lyme's altogether.
I have been on the phone most of the day trying to get an appointment with a doctor but no one I've spoken to is willing to see her.
We have been hitting it hard with natural antibiotics and other herbal treatments and the rash has faded, but I still want to have her tested and treated as a precaution.
Thanks for your help!

For right now contact lyme support groups in your state and nearby states. See Support Groups on the left side of the page.
Call or email quite a few. Find out from them who can give your daughter some treatment. They will know who will take this seriously and who will not.
If the rash is still at all visible, take some pictures of it, with one shot including your daughter's face. Put a ruler next to the rash to show size.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent with suggestions.
I don't know of any in AL or any good ones in TN.
The bull's-eye rash is definitive for Lyme, so I can't understand why the "ignoramuses" did not even give antibiotics! Keep giving the natural antibiotics & herbal treatments.
Your dear daughter needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this. Check the online state Lyme groups at: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/statenamelyme

KotosaMom, make sure you get photos of your daughter's rash. Place something near the rash, like a coin or ruler, before photographing to give it size definition. This is important documentation.
Unfortunately, there are no good Lyme doctors in AL or TN. Do contact support groups as TF suggested. Maybe they could recommend a doctor who could properly treat a new infection.
