I'm doing research for a family member who was recently diagnosed. Currently my father in law is taking the first round of antibiotics but they are not agreeing with him and still not feeling right. Their doctor is ignoring him and they haven't been able to get in touch. Any info would be great. Thanks

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for upstate NY.
Your FIL needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not take insurance due to the politics surrounding this disease. Read poster TF's explanation about this:
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
