I'm currently seeing an LLMD in central PA and haven't seemed to be making much progress. I currently live in Pittsburgh and would like to get a second opinion from a specialist here. I've searched online and haven't had much luck in finding an LLMD practicing in the area. If anyone would be able to direct me towards a reputable MD, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, Zach

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

I sent you some names and some info.
You may get better care if you are willing to travel to the D.C. area where lyme is very common and we have a number of lyme doctors.
Good lyme specialists are few and far between. So, at least half of all lyme patients go out of state for their care.
You can do monthly telephone appointments with the doctor so you do not have to travel that often.
