Hi all. I was diagnosed with neurological lyme disease some years ago and have been in treatment since then. Unfortunately my current doctor (who I credit with saving my life, or at the very least providing me with some quality of life again) is facing some challenges and may not be practicing in the near future. I was hoping for a referral to a LLMD in Vermont, Massachusetts, or really anywhere in New England/upstate New York seeing as Ive been driving 5+ hours to see my current doctor.
Thank you to those who tirelessly provide information and support for other patients on these boards. It is people like you that give me hope despite the adversity created by this disease and those in the medical community who fail to understand it.

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for NH, NY & MA.
I don't know of any in VT.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They're far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

The is a fantastic Lyme Literate doctor in southern Vermont. She has a crucial role in the Vermont legislature trying to pass Lyme disease laws. If you want her name send a message to my email:[email protected]Posts: 3 | From New Hampshire | Registered: Mar 2013
