Looking for a neurologist who is lyme literate in Illinois. If none available in Illinois, would consider going to Indiana or Wisconsin.

Someone who works in the area of aneurysms, ruptured aneurysms and/or subarachnoid hemorrhages.

Thank you

Welcome to Lymenet!

There are no LL Neurologists in IL, let alone neighboring states that I know of. There is one, but he is on the East Coast. Let me know if you want his contact information.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/illinoislyme

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources for you (including Support Group info):

Dr. H, the top LLMD, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check the local library or buy it used on Amazon.

There is an excellent LLMD in the middle of Indiana. I don't know about IL or WI. Talk to all the support groups around there.

Start with a LLMD. Most with lyme have neurological involvement and every good ILADS educated LLMD will certainly be aware of the neurological aspect.

Treatment most often resolves even tough neurological symptoms. With key support measures, of course, as most LLMDs also suggest.

If you would need any other kinds of experts, a good LLMD will know the best ones for a referral. Still, most often, a good LLMD can handle a wide range of matters that relate to lyme / TBD.
