I had a hard childbirth 22 months ago resulting in a cesarean under general anesthesia and have not been the same since: fatigue, body aches, BLOATING, gas, depression, just feel old and tired and unmotivated.
Lyme test just came back last week as positive.
I live in/near the epicenter of Lyme's in the U.S.
I really want a Lyme Literate MD who will also address cleansing, immune support, detox, botanical/herbal, and alternative therapies as well as antibiotics.
Might be pregnant-was hoping to be. Now assuming we need to wait
Thank you!

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

- When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods, because lyme is so very complex & unique, as are possible coinfections:
if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -
- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )
so they really know all they can about the science of lyme . . . how lyme (& other TBD) act and what we can do about that in various ways.
Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.
When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.
Herbal Safety considerations & reference books; etc.
Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:
Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;
knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.
You can compare and contrast many approaches with links to articles, books, methods . . .
BODY WORK methods / links (and why anyone who works on your spine MUST be LL to the degree they at least know to never suddenly twist neck or spine. Never. Ever. And that we should never be advised to do neck / head / shoulder stands.) -

- One aspect of support you mention - "detox" (also referred to as liver / kidney support) - is address here. While you seek out a doctor who can guide you in a full protocol & support methods, you can get an overview here about basic support:
LIVER & KIDNEY SUPPORT & and several HERXHEIMER support links, too. -

Well, tenderly . . . not sure what to say as it does not seem clear as to if you are, or are not pregnant. If not, it may be best to wait . . . however . . .
If so, it may be best to consult a pediatric LLMD right away. Many women have successfully delivered a health baby - there are specific antibiotic protocols for pregnancy . . . and some specific support supplements that are safe during pregnancy.
(and if the baby might be found to have lyme, there can be testing done on cord blood, monitoring & early treatment so that it can be a good outcome -- that is key and it can work).

- Separate matter. Your toddler.
You say " . . . had a hard childbirth 22 months ago resulting in a cesarean under general anesthesia and have not been the same since: fatigue, body aches, BLOATING, gas, depression, just feel old and tired and unmotivated.
Lyme test just came back last week as positive. . . . " (end quote)
There could be various reasons for the symptoms you describe since "not being the same since" childbirth. However, if lyme is the causal connection, your child should also be assessed - not just for lyme, of course, but for other tick borne infections.
As you find a holistic LLMD or LL ND, you should also be assessed for other tick borne disease (TBD).
I know it's been a long road and it may seem a huge load. Just know that this can get better and that you are on the right path. Take care. -
