Hello, I recently moved from Massachusetts to Florida. I do not have Lyme but I have a very similar Tick Borne Disease.

I'm looking for a LLMD and/or Neurologist in the Miami area.

My LLMD in Massachusetts said that I need a new workup for MS as it is still a possibility, so if there's a Neurologist that is recommended, I'd love to know.

You should be evaluated for Lyme disease and co-infections and, if clinically diagnosed with them, then treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD).

LLMDs are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are. I don't know of any LL Neurologists in FL.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

When you call for an appointment, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
