hi my mom is very very sick with Lyme disease pretty much dying. She is in south ga and I'm in central Florida so we need to find a llmd in either ga or Florida. She has no money bc she's racked up medical bills trying to find out what's wrong with her. Very sad and very scary!!
We were recommended to go to Dr. J but it sounds like it's VERY expensive. My brother and I are willing to do anything it takes but before we do Dr. J we wanted to know if there's a closer option that would be just as good. Please help I'm so scared for her life!!

Welcome to Lymenet! You've come to the right place. PM sent for FL.
Your dear Mom needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
None in GA. They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When you call for an appointment with any LLMDs, ask if there are any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.
