I am looking for a doctor who is familiar with Lyme disease in the Grand Prairie, TX, area.
My mom has been experiencing confusion and serious weight loss over the past 6 months and none of the tests are showing that anything is wrong with her. We are continuing to look into other possibilities, but Lyme disease is being considered a possibility (at least by us).
Any help would be much appreciated.

Your dear Mom needs to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment! They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.

CariB - you need to write a separate post instead of adding on to an existing one. That way, more people will see it and respond because most don't re-read old posts.
I see you have written one now. Sent you a PM for TX.
