If anyone can provide names of good, literate Lyme MD in southern California (who more or less follows the guidelines of Dr. H) please provide names! No naturopaths, I need an MD.
I have chronic Lyme and Babesia for almost 20 years, only diagnosed correctly between 2010 and last year.
I can further research a doctor myself once I have a name, but I need more than a website that allows only three searches of dozens of zip codes in a month.
I have just edited this post: originally I stated the MD must have Medicare. However, sounds like that is like asking to win the lottery. Which is terribly depressing, but so be it.
Don't bother giving me Dr. Y's name, although she is only 30 minutes away. She was my MD until I missed 2 appointments - called 24 hrs ahead of time, was too ill to drive - over the course of 6 months. I was informed I was no longer HER patient because they have a 'rule' about missed appointments, despite the fact my actions did not fit their rule.
This despite having made donations of my own long awaited appointment times - twice - when their office called last minute and needed to get an emergency patient in.
I also donated a wildlife photo to her office, and wrote a supportive article about the office in a local newsletter.
So much for the Hippocratic oath.
So I need a new specialist. Much appreciated. Send PM or public reply, I don't care.
Thanks very much in advance.
Renee
