I need a doctor in New York preferably on Eastern Long Island

I have had Chronic Lyme for many years and been taking Doxy on and off since 2003. I would get take it for 1 to 2 months and then a month after have extreme fatigue again.

Than in Oct.2014 I was diagnosed positive for acute Lyme.

I have been on ABX for 5 months and need a Doctor that will use a Herbs and Supplements for a more complete healing approach.

From everything I have read this is the only way to get a full recovery.

I have made a little progress using many combinations of ABX these will only get me half way through this battle.

I need help finding the right combination of Herb and Supplements. My stomach has become my biggest problem when I start herxing every 2 week.

I would like to pass along that I have found the Alka-selzer Gold and Glutathione works amazing.

I was losing my mine and this saved me. I used 3 to 4 Reduced Glutathione capsules every day now and on really bad day 2 times a day and It works very fast.

From what I have read 1000mg is a safe daily dose but I am very leery of taking to much of anything till I get use to it.

I thank you in advance for your help.
Tsea

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for CT.

Please add 'NY' in your title. Click on the pencil/paper icon, make you addition, then click "Edit post".

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease and its complex treatment!

Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.

Also, most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":

http://flash.lymenet.org/scripts/ultimatebb.cgi/topic/2/15615?#000005

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/NewYorkLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources for you (including Support Groups info):

The top LLMD, Dr. H, has written a new book entitled, "Why Can't I Get Better?". It is an excellent source of information.

Also read "Cure Unknown" by Pamela Weintraub. Check your local library or buy it used on Amazon.
