Treated for Lyme & Erlichiosis 2 years ago by family doctor. However, not confirmed with blood test. Had an allergic reaction to doxy after a week, then given 10 days of amoxicillin. Thought I had recovered, but began loosing weight unexplainably about 8 months ago. Over last 6 months began developing severe chest pains/indigestion. Subsequently hives. Within last month extreme fatigue, leg aches, joint pain and wake up with headaches, anxiety. After loosing consciousness in front of my 3 little boys, my husband rushed me to ER where I was treated for anaphylaxis. Allergist confirmed Alpha Gal beef allergy. This happened again 3 days ago...this time, ER discovered low potassium and EKG showing heart changes/block. being told just to go back to primary doc and get something for stress/anti depressants and ask primary for a heart monitor. I've been in and out of doctors offices for 8 months and everything comes back normal, just anemic. Could this be Lyme too? Really need a good doctor who can put this all together....worried I'm not going to live through this.

I sent you some info on DRs in VA .. Babesia, a coinfection of Lyme can cause anemia. Be sure to be properly evaluated by an LLMD.
If you want specific answers to your questions, you will find more help in the Medical Questions forum here on LN.
Welcome!
PS .. Heart block could be from Lyme .. many of your symptoms sound like babesia.. Alpha Gal allergy is caused by Lyme disease...so find an LLMD right away!
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
They are far and few between, unfortunately. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner to see a LLMD by doing this.
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme. Thanks.
