My 9 year old son recently tested positive for Lyme disease (to our surprise!). He's had it for at least 2 months & has been taking Doxycycline for a few days now.

His current doctor thinks 14 days of that is enough & no further follow-up is needed. But we really want to get the opinion of an LLMD or at least someone who is more knowledgeable about Lyme disease, who will do further testing if needed, & who will be able to answer our questions.

I am fine with traveling to see a good doctor. But I'd prefer it was less than a full day's drive from the Charlotte, NC area where we live.

I'm also hoping to get to see someone SOONER rather than later, which is why I will travel if I need to. We want to make sure we get him the meds he needs ASAP so his Lyme doesn't become chronic.

Thank you for any and all recommendations!
