I live in Bucks County PA but I can travel to Philadelphia, or Montgomery County - all in PA.
I am 49 - so I need an adult LLD.
I was just diagnosed about 2 weeks ago. However, I believe I have had this for over 3 years.
Long story, but used to work out 6 days a week so I just attributed my sores and fatigue to a hard workout (and they are)! In Sept of 14 I took a pt job and only worked out 3/4 days a week and noticed the fatigue and pain were the same.
Right around that same time, I was suddenly unable to work out the way I used to (5 miles) and could only make it to 2.5. Among many other complaints.
So... I'm hoping some of you can help. I filled out some requests for Doc on other sites (ILIADS) or something like that.
I've found Jefferson University has a Lyme program as well.
Just looking for any input on finding and choosing a Doc.
Thank you!

You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
