Hello, I looking for LLMD in NJ, NY, CT, PA, MA, RI or Maryland.
First had Lyme in 2004, treated with standard antibiotics and then spent the next 3 yrs sick. After searching, I traveled to a wonderful LLMD in MA and was successfully treated over a long course of oral antibiotics.
This past Oct I got Lyme again, was treated by a non LLMD and those similar symptoms have reappeared. My wonderful LLMD has retired and I would appreciate any assistance in locating a new LLMD.
Thank you

I sent you a name and some information.
I got well by going to a doctor who followed the Burrascano protocol. So did at least 5 of my friends.
This protocol is a 4-pronged approach:
antibiotics diet supplements exercise (weightlifting one continuous hour every OTHER day)
I strongly recommend that you begin the weightlifting requirement. My lyme doctor told me at the first visit that I would NEVER get well if I didn't do it.
The weightlifting strengthens your immune system so that you don't relapse when you stop treatment. It also drives the antibiotics deeper into your tissues and does many other good things necessary to clear lyme and its coinfections.
So, start the weightlifting and get good treatment. Then, I expect you will successfully treat lyme disease again.
I proved to myself twice that this weightlifting is the key to getting rid of lyme and also stopping the cycle of getting sick with other diseases that are going around.
And, with the light weights and numerous repetitions, you will get a little muscle, and that is nice too!

Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for CT, PA & MD.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
