My daughter has had Lyme twice in the past and today noticed what appears to be a bullseye on the back of her leg. If anyone is aware of any LLMD's in or near Wilmington, DE the information would be greatly appreciate. Please send me a private message. Thanks so much in advance.

I can send you the name of a good lyme doc right outside of Washington, D.C.
He can see you in a few days. Will do telephone appointments after that.
You can take the train from Wilmington and then the D.C. subway.
Let me know if you want the name. I am assuming your daughter is at least 18 years old.

Your daughter need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. She needs to go where they are. None in DE.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
When she calls for an appointment, have her ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

Thanks again! We've been through this twice in the past and were treated successfully (my whole family). Hopefully what she has isn't a bullseye - it has begun fading since yesterday and could be a reaction to a bug bite. We're watching very carefully, though.
