August 2013 I got bit by something and then in October 2013 I woke with a skin lesion on the opposite side (I'm lucky enough to have pictures of both). I was sent to a dermatologist for a biopsy. They gave me I believe 14 day antibiotic in case it had to do with parasites. Unfortunately at the time I didn't know the seriousness of it all. I did not finish my antibiotic and went off to basic training for the army. I started having weird symptoms and after a lot of searching I diagnosed myself with lyme disease. I only tested reactive for band 23 kd igm and fighting doctors to treat me. I just got out of the army, I am mother with 6 kids and want my life back.

Band 23 is indicative for Lyme and 'IgM' means you have a current infection.
You need to be evaluated and treated by a Lyme-literate doctor (LLMD). Non LLMDs have no clue about this horrible disease or its complex treatment!
A LLMD is one who has treated Lyme disease and the co-infections which come with it for many years and has gotten patients well. A good one will follow Dr. B's Guidelines, the "gold standard" for Lyme treatment.
Unfortunately, LLMDs are far and few between. You need to go where they are.
Also most LLMDs do not accept insurance due to the politics surrounding this horrible disease. Read poster TF's explanation, "Why Lyme Doctors Don't Take Insurance":
Btw - please break up your posts into 2-3 sentence paragraphs, as there are people on Lymenet who cannot read large blocks of text due to neurological problems from Lyme.
To do this, click on the pencil/paper icon, make your changes, then click "Edit Post". Thanks.
