Hello friends,

I am trying to help someone who is very sick and needs an LLMD in Tennessee. This person lives in Cleveland TN, 37312. From the map that looks to be about 30 miles from Chattanooga.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Suzanne

This is a bad place for finding a lyme doctor.

See this recent post regarding lyme doctors in Tennessee and surrounding states (Georgia, SC, Tenn, and Alabama):

http://flash.lymenet.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/2/24544

I suggest you contact the lyme support groups in Tenn and surrounding states to find out where folks are going for good care. See Support Groups on the left side of this page.

If there aren't any nearby, as I suppose, if she is willing to travel to the D.C. area, there is a doctor there who can see her quickly.

After the first appointment, he will do telephone appointments monthly. So, there would not be a whole lot of travel involved. Perhaps every few months or every 6 months.

Let me know if you want the name.

There just are very few lyme doctors and they are not spread out evenly over the country.

PM sent with some suggestions.

I don't know of any LLMDs in TN, KY, AL, GA or MS.

Check the online state Lyme groups at:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/TennesseeLyme/info

Maybe they can help.

Some more resources (including Support Groups info):
www.lyme-aware.org/tennessee.html

http://www.lymenet.org/SupportGroups/UnitedStates/Tennessee/

When calling for an appointment, ask if they have any cancellations or a waiting list. Patients have been able to get in sooner by doing this.

TBM... You may want to begin your own thread so you will get more help. Your message may be overlooked here.

How to post:

TBM - Welcome to Lymenet! PM sent for VA.

I don't know of any in KY.

You should write a new post instead of adding on to an existing one. That way, more people will see it and respond, because most people don't re-read old posts.
