Hi,

I was falsely accused of munchausens by proxy and my 2 daughters were taken 4 years ago. I lost my oldest daughter to lyme 1 year ago also so I have been through hell and am sick myself.
I need a psychologist to evaluate me to clear me of munchausens by proxy so my youner daughters can see me again without a supervisor. My whole family has been destroyed and one of my daughters is sick and not being treated. I need a lyme literate psychologist. Dr B, Dr. F already said no
and some others well known I cant get help!!
Anyone?

Not above but Below . . . the link below . . .

While she is not a psychologist or doctor, rather a medical journalist whose has, herself, gone through lyme with her entire family . . .

You might also connect with Pamela Weintraub, the author of this article as she could have additional names for you.

From her series at Psychology Today, another very important topic for to parents of children with lyme:

http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/200708/munchausen-unusual-suspects

Munchausen: Unusual Suspects - by Pamela Weintraub

2007 - last reviewed on November 10, 2010

Call them the Munchausen mothers. A growing number of women stand accused of deliberately sickening their children for attention from doctors. In an era of patient advocacy and hard-charging moms, there's no end in sight to this hotly contested diagnosis.

- Full article at link.

Pamela Weintraub is the Executive Editor at Discover magazine and the author of Cure Unknown: Inside the Lyme Epidemic (St. Martin's Press, 2008), first place winner of the American Medical Writer's Association book award.

As a reference resource, you might also connect with Lorraine Johnson, an attorney / advocate who is with this excellent advocacy organization:

Actually, the person I posted (Sandy Berenbaum)is a clinical social worker, who is a licensed, graduate level mental health professional - who happens to be a Lyme literate psychotherapist.

Sheila Statlender is also a Lyme literate psychologist in the Boston area. She speaks at many Lyme conferences and also sees many Lyme patients and their families.

PM me if you need additional information. I am a licensed clinical social worker, but not actively employed at this time.

dbpei,

I clarified my post to start: "Not above but Below . . . the link below . . ." for the researcher and other contacts who might offer advice on the legal front.

Glad you mentioned something so that confusion I had before is now clear.

PM sent with some names for you to contact to hopefully find the help you need.

Scroll down the link I just gave you for LDUC and you will find attorney information.

For uplifting, encouraging, life-changing music, listen to KLOVE (FM radio). You can listen online anytime by clicking on "Listen Online" on their homepage (upper right-hand side) or you can find a station near you by going to "Find a Radio Station" under the photo/video on the homepage.

I am so sorry for your loss, OP. Connecticut is so corrupt and this state takes away children from loving parents-- it is disgusting what is going on right now in America.

Kathleen Dickson, a Lyme patient and chemist had her children taken away in Connecticut also. I think that 8legsbad also had her children taken away from her in Great Britain.. Both of these women spoke about Lyme as a biological weapon--- and their children were taken from them!!

Its open season on Moms with Lyme disease... and this abuse part of the Lyme coverup.

If you ever need to talk sometime PM me.

I will pray for you and your children.

Thank you to all for your help. If it becomes news once the trial begins again I may need support from the lyme activists near or in Connecticut. Thank you for your prayers and the time you took to give me info.I am very grateful and so will be my children.
